Roles and Responsibilities:
- Implementation, maintenance, and support of the CA-IDMS database software, features and tools, security interfaces, IDMS performance products, and some third-party software products.
- Implement and customize product upgrades and maintenance for the support of CA-IDMS database on z/OS platform.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem analysis to determine ways to improve a system s reliability, scalability, availability and performance. Create and update day-to-day internal operating procedures on an as needed basis for designated group responsibilities.
- Work with customers and technicians to research, diagnose, and implement corrective solutions.
- Experience deploying and supporting z/OS systems software and hardware technologies.
- Thorough understanding of data center mainframe z/OS z/Series and software technologies including mainframe storage, mainframe security, and network protocols.
- Able to follow and apply technical methods, standards, and procedures.
- Analytic approach to problem solving.
